Social Media Playbook

I created a social media playbook for the Department of Communication that outlined the principles for proper social media use as a department including frequency, type of posts, guidelines, and post examples.

Written and Designed on: Adobe InDesign

Before I could start the project, I researched, analyzed, and drew conclusions about Cedarville University's Department of Communication's current social media presence. I calculated how many interactions each type of post received, how many different people were interacting overall, and the type of comments they posted. After analyzing my findings, I developed a social media playbook that outlined how the strategy would be maintained by professors and students, how often should platforms be updated, what types of posts are appropriate for each platform, and provided example posts for each platform. I also proposed that the department should create a LinkedIn account because it aligns with the department's goal to be a community that is preparing students professionally. Since social media strategies need to be periodically evaluated and updated, I also wrote instructions on how and when to conduct the listening exercise that I performed at the beginning of the project and update the playbook.
